Residue was from Monsanto/DeKalb Commercial corn crop of 2012....279 bushel per acre using TAPPS and TAPKTS.

15 inch band centers or ranked in 5 different positions...this allows extreme residue flow and weight transfer to each individual opener.

Congratulations to Case Engineers....the 5 section flex....7 section fold, Case DMI 940, 6 x 6 frame is the most impressive we have seen to date.

Paul will add about 500 pounds at 4 wing sections....center section is fine.

Banding at 7 inch to 8 inch depth may require more weight.

Banding at a 6 inch depth at 9.5 mph with surgical cuts...Firm soil conditions. Weight must be added at wing locations.

Raining on and off on this corn residue....this particular field was at 90% to  100% humidity....Monday April 8, 13

The machine ran well in the heavy residue of 280 bushel per acre....and then it rained.

Adjustments were made....and the conclusion was more weight is required in the intermediate and outside sections.

A final test on flow and flow limitations....Another field....at 9.5 mph....at over 40 gallons of NH3 per minute....Series 3 weigh Master 2KC and Series 3 2KM TAPPS Formulator, Third Product to be announced.

Banding into cover crop on seed corn at 150 pounds N  and 15 gallons APP/ATS/KTS.

Initial Field Trials indicated that the system can go to 50 gpm or about 270 pounds per minute of NH3....and the TAPPS Formulator liquid system will deliver  to 30 gallons per minute or 350 pounds per minute at 9.5 mph.

Paul is implementing a KD 8 axle, 35 ton track cart in June....running with Land Luvr R tracks at 36 inch 6 roller....with front turning bolster with oscillating tandems.....

The KD Cart is Impressive.

The Liquid Delivery, 4,000 gallons NH3 and 2,600 gallons of APP/ATS/KTS. Rated 265PSI with CRN rating....for liquid delivery and safety.

The Flush tanks. Micro Nutrient tanks all can be viewed at  www.exactrix.com/KD.htm

Liquid delivery NH3 to the cart from the local fertilizer dealer.

A much safer approach to delivery of 4,000 gallons of NH3 as liquid delivery.

Properly plumbed the system will be able to deliver 4,000 gallons in 20 minutes....about 250 gallons per minute at maximum. A Corken 4 inch pump required 30 hp.

The liquid delivery is also 4 inch pumps at 30 hp.

A third injection product is allowable....within the parameters of fall banding 2013....moving  to high quality materials in micro-nutrients and stabilizers. Sparging Reflow Blenders will be utilized with 2 additional pumping systems.

                                                  Stephanie…Miss 2KM, Sparging Reflow Blender.

Mustang Openers ran well at the 6 inch depth....weight will be added to the intermediate and outer sections.

Gyro Counter Weights will be employed to stabilize the Mustang at speeds to 12 mph....10 inch x 3 inch will be installed for higher speeds.

This machine rates as a World Champion....in the big leagues. Capable of three....10,000 gallon NH3 transport loads per day. Up to 100,000 pounds per 12 hour shift.  Up 180,000
pounds total nutrient in a 12 hour shift.

A track cart is required.  Coming soon.

Case 940 Tool Bar, Set up for No-till Banding
at speeds to 9.5 mph delivering flows of 50
gallons per minute of NH3

Flows of 30 gallons per minute of APP/ATS/KTS
and Hydra Hume with Micros.

Formulating TAPPS and TAPPKTS crystals on the go.

Mustang Openers allow the tool bar to meet
No-tillage standards.

Mustang openers require that the tool bar at
61.3 feet weigh about 28,000 pounds for
banding at 6 inch depth. Depths of 7 to 8
depth require more weight on the opener or the bar.

Compact folding allows the machine to transport at 18 feet wide and about 14 feet high.  A big deal in populated areas like eastern Nebraska.

The 5 section tool bar folds in 7 sections.  The 940 is built in Goodfield, IL in the recently expanded CNH plant...not too far from Peoria.

The tool bar is 6 x 6 construction.

Exactrix Metering systems are Mass Flow with Series 3 configuration.  This means high flow that is weighed as it is applied.

Bulk Density is calculated to .0020.

This means the application is typically made with smart flow meters.

The Exactrix TAPPS and TAPPKTS Formulators and Coriolis Flow Meters are designed for VR site specific application within 1% CV.

The Mustang openers provide excellent surgical cuts into extremely heavy residue.

Bottom outlet tank valves are required when flows reach 50 gallons per minute of NH3. In fact liquid delivery NH3 is more practical and thus a track cart should be considered with 4,000 gallons of capacity.

A track cart also allows the liquid tanks to be removed from the tractor.

Applying at 40 to 50 gallons per minute requires liquid transfer.

Filling safe and fast just like a forest service helicopter at $1,000 per hour. Filling fast is important with a million dollar investment.

Efficient delivery at up to 4,000 gallons of NH3 under full production timelines.

Transfer time is 20 minutes typically.

Quick and safe transfer of nutrients allows the truck to return within 2 hours.

Helicopter rates....When 4,000 gallons of NH3 transfer to the applicator tanks.

The liquid transfer system  has the ability to fill on 20 minute turn around deadlines.

Quick and safe transfer allows the truck with a return within 2 hours.

Filling is completed at 200 to 250  gallons per minute for NH3 and APP/ATS/KTS at  180 to 220  gallons per minute.

The track cart design is highly profitable and well utilized in Alberta, Saskatchewan and North Dakota and South Dakota.

Advanced producers in seed corn production prefer Exactrix TAPPS and TAPPKTS accuracy of nutrients to assure highest quality of seed with a complete balanced nutrient package.

Balanced NPKS nutrients are known to produce the highest quality seedling vigor.

TAPPS and TAPPKTS application produced very good yields in 2012.

Also compaction can be reduced utilizing track carts.

What about side dressing winter wheat with Mustangs? How does the Case 940 work on winter wheat?....at Marshal Missouri it is impressive.

This is a good example of a 50 foot Case 940 banding with Exactrix TAPPS and TAPPKTS utilizing Mustang P-51C openers.
